Celebration of 73rd Independence DayH.P. Technical University celebrated, Hamirpur celebrated Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor on August 15, 2019 in the campus with students, teachers and staff the 73rd year of freedom from the British rule. On this special occasion, the programme begin with flag hoisting by the Vice Chancellor Prof. S.P. Bansal and addressed the gathering, appealing to their nationalistic spirit and urged them to take pride as being an Indian and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. He also emphasized the role of youth today as the true wealth of a nation. He further reiterated that the need to nurture and care for the environment as there is no alternative planet to sustain mankind. This was followed by a musical rendition of patriotic songs. The event concluded with flying of tri-coloured kites to mark the sovereignty of our nation. This day was also celebrated in all affiliated colleges with HPTU |

First Induction Program in the Campus of HPTUHPTU extends a warm welcome to its new students enrolled in of various courses started in university for the academic session 2018-2019. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. S.P. Bansal, chaired the session and enlighten the lamp. The students presented the Swarswati Vandna. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor tell the cultural importance of the value based education, women empowerment and the significance of‘ ‘Kanya Poojan’ in Indian Culture. In addition to this Hon’ble Vice Chancellor commemorates the words of former President of India Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam, “Everybody can fly but have to recognize their wings”. There is a strong need to develop such type of education system which makes student job provider rather than job seeker. The curriculum should be industrial oriented. |

72nd Celebration Ceremony of Independence Day of India, flag hosted by Vice Chancellor, Prof. S.P. Bansal72nd Independence Day was celebrated in the campus of HPTU, Prof. S.P Bansal , Vice Chancellor was the Chief Guest . Prof. S.P. Bansal Warm Greetings to the staff , society and all the citizens of India on the occasion of Independence Day. He said that we are to see the present India in totality. We cannot forget the sacrifices of our soldiers for the protection of our Nation. We can see our independent India in the eyes of our farmers, in our manufacturing sector and in our service sector. We can see our Independent India in the form of the quality and expansion of our education sector, as contribution of our mothers, as contribution of our employees, general public and all others contributing in the growth of our Nation. We need to introspect ourselves that what we have gained and what we have lost. Although we got independence on 15th August, 1947 but still we are to achieve another freedom from various evils of the society like Corruption, Drug abuse, Nepotism, Terrorism, Black Money and all other kind of evils . Prof S.P. Bansal emphasized to take pledge on this auspicious day to work with almost sincerity to build a strong foundation for institution, society and to root out all these evils. Prof S.P. Bansal said that we always talk about our rights but forget to talk our duties. We are to recognize yourself and should evaluate our contribution in the Nation building. We are to inculcate values among the students so that we can make them good human beings for the independent Nation. |

Celebration of International Yoga DiwasInternational day of yoga is also called as the world yoga day. Yoga was originated in India in ancient time when people were used of meditation to transform their body and mind. Yoga is very necessary and beneficial for all human being. of World Yoga Day. In this regard, a yoga camp is organized in the HPTU Campus on dated 21st ,June 2018 and all employees of the University celebrated the Yoga Diwas. |

MOU under the Skill Training Program between HPTU and BSNL Regional Telecom Training Centre Rajpura.University organized a first HPTU Sports Meet at SIRDA Group of Institution, Sundernagar on 25-27th April, 2016. Various games conducted include: intercollege Kabddi, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Badminton and Table Tennis. |

University Organize first HPTU Youth Festival at Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions, Kala-Amb, District SirmourUniversity Organize first HPTU Youth Festival on 18-19th March, 2016 at Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions, Kala-Amb, District Sirmour.All the affiliated colleges actively participated.Events organized were – Group Dance and Solo Dance. More than 300 students participated in different events. |

Bhumi Poojan carried out to start the construction of Administrative Block at DaruhiBhumi Poojan for the construction of Administrative Block has been done on 22.10.2016 and the construction work has been initiated by the CPWD through contractor. |

MoUs signed with CPWD for the construction of Administrative, academic and Guest House building at Daruhi, HamirpurA Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been executed between this University and CPWD on 10th February, 2016 to undertake the construction of Administrative Block, Academic Block and Guest House of Himachal Pradesh Technical University at Daruhi. As per MOU an amount of Rs. 2, 63, 89,470 (Rupees two crores sixty three lacs eighty nine thousand and four hundred seventy only) as 10% advance payment of sanction cost has been released. |
